Hostpanel is a self-hosted web hosting management platform built by Innovayse as an open-source alternative to WHMCS, on ASP.NET Core 9 and Nuxt 4. It covers a full client portal, an admin panel, billing with multiple payment gateways, domain registrar integrations, and hosting provisioning, with a plugin SDK for extending it further.

The Challenge

Build a modern, self-hosted hosting management platform covering the client portal, admin panel, billing, domain registration, and hosting provisioning — architected to be extended through a plugin SDK rather than forked.

Our Approach

Built the backend on ASP.NET Core 9 with Wolverine and EF Core over PostgreSQL, the client portal on Nuxt 4 and Vue 3 with a swappable storefront-template system, and a separate Vue 3 admin panel, connected through RabbitMQ messaging and pluggable provider interfaces for payment gateways, domain registrars, and hosting provisioning.
